The red wines of the Languedoc-Roussillon are sultry, sensuous, and balanced. The wines we hand select are made by the most passionate winemakers and have a finesse and complexity that will keep you coming back for more.

AOP Saint Chinian
30% Syrah, 30% Mourvèdre, 30% Carignan, 10% Grenache
Plein Grès is a wine to lay down (a “vin de garde”) that combines both power and elegance. Abundance of ripe blackberry, baked cherry with aromatic hints of cocoa. The palate is super silky offering ripe fruits and wafts of liquorice. The wine is fresh on the palate and extremely balanced-definitely not jammy or heavy, but full of finesse. One to cherish with special friends.

AOP Minervois
100% Syrah
The dark fruit, powerful spices, and herbaceous aromas of this Syrah entice the senses. The rich, upfront mouthfeel resolves into silky tannins. Surrender to the lingering finish...until your next luscious sip. Domaine Borie de Maurel practices organic and biodynamic agriculture.
AOP Saint-Chinian
45% Grenache Noir, 40% Syrah, 15% Cinsault
This elegant, fruity blend of Grenache Noir, Syrah and Cinsault is gentle and smooth in the mouth. Hints of blackberry and blueberry mingle with spicy notes of clove and bay leaf. A welcoming red, Cuvée Magali reflects the rich history of the Milhau Lacugue estate which was the site of a Roman villa and later offered rest and refreshment to medieval pilgrims en route to sacred sites in Spain.

AOP Minervois
40% Syrah, 30% Carignan, 30% Grenache Noir
This appealing organic wine opens with the crispness of red cherries surrounded by mashed blackberries and strawberries. Underlying is a nice minerality and slight spiciness. On the finish there are hints of the herbal garrigue and even a bit of black olive. A complex but relaxed wine that is friendly, fruity and interesting.

AOP Languedoc
45% Carignan Noir, 45% Mourvèdre, 5% Grenache Noir, 5% Syrah
Carignan and Mourvèdre are the heart of this gorgeous full-bodied red, accented with Syrah and Grenache Noir. Aromas of spice and leather enhance silky tannins that blossom into a lingering, rich aftertaste without being heavy. Cuvée Le Grand Saut 2014 took silver at the 2016 Hérault Valley wine competition.

AOP Saint Chinian
30% Syrah, 25% Grenache, 25% Mourvèdre, 20% Carignan
Initiale Red is a classic Saint-Chinian blend — Syrah imparts spiciness and black pepper; Grenache Noir bestows soft fruit; Carignan expresses a rustic leather tone; and Mourvèdre offers warm hints of tobacco and chocolate. Aromas of blackberry and cherry jam are laced with toasted bread and pepper. A tender, joyful palate carries a trace of tannin, enhancing the finish.

AOP Coteaux du Languedoc
50% Grenache Noir, 30% Carignan, 20% Syrah
A blend of Grenache Noir, Carignan, and Syrah, this crowd favorite was awarded 91/100 by Wine Spectator, is a Feminalise Gold Medalist and a favorite of British wine scholar Jancis Robinson. This juicy organic red expresses rich fruit depth, brilliant acidity and remarkable freshness.
AOP Cabardès
50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 50% Syrah
La Dérive is a serious, powerful beauty. Intense and deep color, complex nose with dark red fruit, baking spices and the lovely herbal ‘garrigue’. In the mouth complex flavors, smoky and spicy with soft but substantial tannins.

AOP Malepère
60% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc, 20% Malbec
La Maitresse won Silver three times—Challenge Millésime BIO, Concours Agricole de Paris, and Concours des Grands Vins de France. Strong and well-elaborated, this organic blend of Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Malbec beautifully expresses the spicy character and smooth tannins typical of the Malepère region. Aromas of strawberries, wild berries and a hint of pepper entice in this Bordeaux-style blend. The dark red fruit and tannins ease into a silky finish, befitting ‘the Mistress’.

AOP Languedoc
50% Grenache Noir, 20% Syrah, 20% Cinsault, 10% Carignan
An unforgettable organic blend of four grape varieties from small plots with very different soils, La Pimpanela’s alluring aromas evoke the herbs and spices of the south of France. Blackcurrant, blackberry and a hint of raspberry awaken the palate. Notes of tobacco complement lush flavors of cherry, chocolate, balsamic, and vanilla. The soft, fresh texture evolves into a rich body with firm tannins. In warmer months, enjoy slightly chilled.

AOP Terrasses du Larzac
45% Grenache, 45% Syrah, 10% Cinsault
Grenache, Syrah and a touch of Cinsault give this organic, biodynamic cuvée a breathtaking, aromatic complexity and a silky mouthfeel. Rich black fruit of blackberries and cassis sparkle with hints of licorice and a dash of pepper. Soft tannins glide to a long, fresh finish.

100% Carignan
Heavenly complex aromas of black fruits, cherry, chocolate, and leather are the signatures of this single varietal wine from 90 year old, low yielding Carignan vines. The tannins are soft but sturdy and the balance with the luscious fruit of the old vine produces a memorable and lovable red wine. Time is the secret: old vines; waiting for the perfect moment of maturity to harvest; time in the cave with careful attention during fermentation; time in the barrel; and taking time with special friends to savor it all.
