This red blend of Syrah, Grenache and Carignan fills the mouth without being heavy. Aromatic notes of cassis and hints of leather blend with rosemary, thyme and other fragrant herbs of the garrigue. The palate is fine and rich with soft tannins and a round finish.

A meat-lover’s friend, this red harmonizes with roasted leg of lamb with lentils, spicy slow cooked beef, or venison in a dark gravy.

Wine Profile
Vineyard Notes
The rugged Cevennes mountains overlook these vineyards, sending cool winds during the summer and slowing the maturation of the grapes. The longer grapes hang on the vine the more this increases flavor and complexity. The soil is calcareous (chalky), stony clay and well-suited to the Carignan and Syrah vines. The Terre Des 2 Sources vineyard is unique with two streams running underneath this special land and creating unique growing conditions for the vines.
Production Notes
The AOC Terrasses du Larzac (appellation) designation denotes high-quality land parcels and vines which have developed the optimal balance of growth with moderate-to-light yields. These conditions lead to fewer viticultural interventions and greater expression of grape varietal and terroir. This wine is fermented and aged in a combination of foudre (1,000 liters), old barriques (225 liters) and tanks.
Winemaker Notes
Terre des 2 Sources began with two couples who shared a dream — to find the best land and wine-growing environment and to craft exceptional wines. The foursome realized their dream with an estate on high elevation just south of the Cevennes mountains with a rich diversity of soils, slopes, aquatic features and climate. Kirsten Creasy is the winemaker, and her husband Glen manages the vineyards. Kirsten has a long and successful career making wines in different places throughout the world. She is native to New Zealand and has made wines there as well as in Australia and France. She is part of the Languedoc renaissance making her own wine in this special terroir.
