This 100% Syrah is light, fruity and surprisingly easy drinking. Ample sunshine and cooling sea breezes balance Syrah's juicy black cherry and plum fruit with a layer of smoky, savory, complexity and gives very fine, light, tannin on the mouthwatering finish. A friendly wine you can serve slightly chilled in the summer.

A refreshing match for grilled/roasted meats, built to play well with assorted appetizers, and even a clever match to bitter chocolate desserts.

Wine Profile
Vineyard Notes
These winemakers work in harmony with nature and the environment. Thirty hectares of vineyards are situated between clay-limestone hills and the Bassin de Tau on the Mediterranean Sea. Trade winds caress the vines carrying scents of the garrigue and a hint of the sea. A stream runs through the vineyard, supporting the biodiversity of the area.
Production Notes
Pre-fermentation and fermentation at low temperatures, daily punching down during alcoholic fermentation. Part of the wine is vinified in neutral French oak, and partially in stainless steel tanks.
Winemaker Notes
Yves and Hugues Ricome built their winery in 2004 on land their family has farmed for generations. In 2007, they passed on the winemaking torch to their daughter, Anais Ricome. Wines like Roséphine and Picpoul de Pinet demonstrate that Anais is more than capable of upholding the family tradition.
Food Pairing Notes
A refreshing match for grilled/roasted meats, built to play well with assorted appetizers, and even a clever match to bitter chocolate desserts.
Other Notes
Ageability: Drink now or cellar until 2027. Rouge Cerise means Red Cherry.
