This organic rosé dazzles with intense red fruit aromas of ripe raspberries. Lively on the palate, even tangy, its freshness lingers then resolves into bright minerality. The family-run domaine was founded in the early days of the Languedoc-Roussillon’s wine making renaissance. The vineyards lie in a valley where every one of the vineyard owners farms organically, so this is the purest fruit anywhere. Our panel of Languedoc tasters unanimously chose this rosé.  When you taste it you will know why. A fruit explosion on the nose and a dry minerality in the mouth.  Perfect in every way.

This wine pairs perfectly with all things pink: smoked salmon, shrimp, and fruit plates but also with deli meats.  This is a delicious versatile wine due to the combination of fruit aromas and minerality in the mouth.

Wine Profile
Vineyard Notes
These Grenache and Syrah vines are cultivated in deep, fertile soils on sun-warmed alluvial plains and hillsides. The ripened grapes are harvested by hand.
Production Notes
After a brief period of aging in stainless steel tanks, the hand-harvested grapes are pressed, fully intact, at low pressure.
Winemaker Notes
Family-run Domaine Des Schistes was founded in the early days of the winemaking renaissance in the Languedoc-Roussillon. In 1989, the grandparents and parents of the current winemakers broke away from their cooperative winery to start their own adventure. Since then, Domaine Des Schistes has been creating delicious wines from grapes grown and harvested in their own vineyards. Their bold move to independence benefited wine lovers and helped usher in a new era of winemaking!
