In the glass, this Viognier-dominant blend is bright and crystalline. Rich aromas of stone fruit, white flowers and banana are balanced with notes of light pepper. A crisp opening finesses into a pleasant, medium body. The family-run winery practices Reasoned Agriculture, an approach to viticulture that balances farming and wine production with biodiversity, environmental and animal welfare, and the health of the surrounding lands.

Pair this appealing wine with chicken tagine with almonds, roast pork, Thai cuisine, or even lemon meringue pie. Offer as an inviting aperitif for casual or formal gatherings. Serve cool, 53°F.

Wine Profile
Vineyard Notes
This domaine works in harmony with nature and the environment. Thirty hectares of vineyards are situated between clay-limestone hills and the Bassin de Tau, on the Mediterranean Sea. A stream runs through the vineyard, supporting the biodiversity of the area. Trade winds caress the vines carrying scents of the garrigue and a hint of the sea. The Mediterranean climate allows the grapes to fully mature and express the typicity of the region.
Production Notes
Night-harvesting protects the grapes from oxidation and preserves the aromas and freshness. Each grape variety is fermented separately before blending. Fermentation proceeds at low temperatures. The Viognier (the dominant variety) is matured on the lees.
Winemaker Notes
Yves and Hugues Ricome built their winery in 2004 on land their family has been farming for generations. In 2007, they passed on the winemaking torch to their daughter, Anais Ricome. With 2019 Desir Blanc, Anais proves she is more than capable of upholding the family tradition.
Food Pairing Notes
Pair this appealing wine with chicken tagine with almonds, roast pork, Thai cuisine, or even lemon meringue pie. Offer as an inviting aperitif for casual or formal gatherings. Serve cool, 53°F.
Other Notes
Ageability: Drink now or cellar for 3 years.
