A pale, crystalline gold in the glass, this organic blend of Roussanne and Vermentino offers a vibrant, complex bouquet of white-fleshed fruits. Inviting aromas of fresh nectarine and zesty lemon glide into an expressive finish of vanilla and citrus. The Vermentino intensifies the freshness.

Carminal Blanc shines at every stage of a meal — from aperitif to cheeses, from fish to white meats. Wow guests by serving it with sea bass in a salt crust and tabbouleh with pineapple.

Wine Profile
Vineyard Notes
The vineyard of Château Borde-Rouge is one of the most picturesque geographies in the region, featuring a natural amphitheater, hundred-year-old pines sculpted by the wind, and a white, rocky ridge shot through with ocher earth tones. Soils of cracked limestone encourage deep rooting of the vines. The vineyards are farmed using organic viticulture practices.
Production Notes
Grapes are harvested manually and then subjected to direct press maceration. Vinification occurs at low temperatures. Aging takes place partially in barrels and partially in stainless steel vats. Additional processes include stirring and aging on fine lees.
Food Pairing Notes
Carminal Blanc shines at every stage of a meal — from aperitif to cheeses, from fish to white meats. Wow your guests by serving it with sea bass in a salt crust and tabbouleh with pineapple.
Other Notes
Ageability: Drink now or keep until 2023. The turbulent history of Château Borde Rouge is rooted in the history of the region. The Cathar tragedy, the Roman occupation, the Saracen tornado, and the work of the Benedictines have all shaped Le Château Borde-Rouge. The Legend of Philomena is also part of the rich history, as is the manuscript of the Twelfth century, which tells of the bloody clash between Saracens and Franks in Borderouge.
