This organic, award-winning Sauvignon Blanc has extravagant character and falls in the family of bright white wines. Its aroma is reminiscent of lychee, fresh hay, and paprika. The palate wanders from citrus, green apples, and tangerine to vegetable notes.

This wine harmonizes beautifully with white and marinated meats, chicken, sushi, and most Asian cuisine. This Sauvignon Blanc is also quite a success by itself.

Wine Profile
Vineyard Notes
The Languedoc is not particularly known for Sauvignon Blancs, but this wine sure does deliver! At La Louvière they have all the parameters right to grow this grape which loves a cool climate and moderate growing conditions. All of this is present in the Malepere, one of the coolest wine areas over here. Most of the vines are planted on Northern slopes which gives freshness and minerality, the character you look for in winning Sauvignon Blanc such as this.
Production Notes
Vinified in stainless steel vats with fermentation temperature control, aged on fine lees, and bottled early to save all the aromas. Stainless steel tanks are ideal for bringing out the full flavors of the varietal.
Winemaker Notes
These grapes are grown on argilo-calcareous hillsides with hilltops, rocky ground full of “bad stones” (the “mal pierre”). Oceanic influence with Mediterranean character, hot summer days, cool nights.
Food Pairing Notes
White and marinated meats, chicken, sushi, and most Asian cuisine. This wine is also a success alone.

Ageability: Drink this year. Serving Temperature: 53°F (12°C)
