From the brilliant female winemaker Verena Wyss, this “beautiful song” bewitches with aromas of spice, licorice and cassis and notes of graphite. Bold complexity is balanced with smooth tannins and structure in an organic blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Petit Verdot.

Vineyard Notes
The vineyard consists of three hilly, south-facing parcels with multiple layers of the clay-limestone soils typical of the region. Organic farming practices have been observed for more than 20 years, including burying the herbs deeply to preserve the natural richness of the terroir. To enrich the calcareous clay soil, a special compost of manure, straw and decomposed marc is applied every three years.
Production Notes
Harvesting begins at 4:00am, allowing the grapes to benefit from the cooler temperatures. Aging takes place in oak barrels for 20 to 24 months.
Winemaker Notes
Domaine Verena Wyss was founded by the wonderful female winemaker, Verena Wyss who moved to the region from Switzerland. She specializes in organic Viognier white wines and is a master at capturing the floral notes of the Viognier grape while maintaining enough acidity to keep your palate alive and wanting more. But we can vouch for the fact that her red wines are exquisite as well!
