Wine Profile
Vineyard Notes
These sloped vineyards border the vast grain fields of the Languedoc that extend to the Pyrenees mountains. The chardonnay plots are 15 to 20 years old, planted in soils of clay and limestone at an altitude of 1200 feet.
Production Notes
Harvesting is done manually at the peak of ripeness. Grapes are crated and transported in small quantities to limit crushing. The first juices are vinified and aged in barrels of 500 liters with regular batonnage for 8 to 10 months depending on the vintage.
Winemaker Notes
Domaine Girard is a fourth-generation family domaine in the Malpere region. These brilliant winemakers were recommended to us by two of the finest winemakers in the Languedoc.
Food Pairing Notes
