Mazérac has a deep purple-red hue and perfectly cooked prune aromas imbued with maturity. On the palate, this magnificent Corbière Boutenac offers subtle nuances of truffle, vanilla, cocoa and spices, prolonged by a lingering finish of candid fruits. A truly surprising Corbière Rouge.

Pairs well with beef or veal of beef pasta dishes, Pasta Bolognese, pasta with Neapolitan mushroom sauce, burgers, sautéed venison stroganoff, cheeses, charcuterie and dessert.

Wine Profile
Vineyard Notes
Domaine La Bouysse is in the heart of the Corbières Mountains, near the Mediterranean and the famous Fontfroide Abbey in the village of Saint-André-de-Roquelongue. The domaine covers 40 hectares, with 80-year-old Carignan vines, 25-year-old Mourvèdre, and 20-year-old Grenache Noir. The vines benefit from the sandstones of the Fontfroide terroir and the clay-limestone soils of the Boutenac terroir. Farming practices are biodynamic and organic.
Production Notes
The Boutenac appellation, recognized in 2005, stands out by positioning itself at the top of the hierarchy of Languedoc wines. This official recognition now ranks it among the essential and qualitative references of Languedoc. Carignan deeply marks the profile and structure of wines in Boutenac. 6,000 bottles of this vintage were produced. Mazérac is aged for 12 months in oak barrels.
Winemaker Notes
Fourth generation winemakers, Martine Pages and Christophe Molinier, took over Domaine la Bouysse in 1996 after both obtaining degrees in oenology. Martine studied in Alsace and brought finesse in winemaking to all her cuvées. Recently, Martine's daughters: Hélène and Delphine have joined the estate and are passionately developing this family heritage and invite you to discover their universe.
Food Pairing Notes
