The fine nose on this well-balanced white made from some deliciously unique grape varieties conjures stone fruits, white flowers, and acacia. The palate unfolds from bold fruit to woody substance then eases into a smoky, toasted character with a lemony finish.

The fruit forward nature of this lightly oaked but fresh wine makes it the perfect pairing for white meat, mushrooms, grilled fish, and cheese.

Wine Profile
Vineyard Notes
The terroir is clay and limestone soil on a south-facing plateau at 200 meters above sea level in a tiny, micro-climate valley.
Production Notes
Grenache Blanc, Grenache Gris and Marsanne are vinified and aged in vats. Roussanne and Vermentino are vinified and aged in barrels.
Winemaker Notes
The Gautran family vineyards are situated in the hamlet of Cailhol in the heart of the Minervois appellation. Four generations of winemakers have followed each other on this land, beginning in 1918 with 5 hectares of vines. Throughout the generations, improvements have been made to the land and to the winemaking cave, resulting in the current 55 hectare estate with modern winemaking facilities. The hamlet of Cailhol is in a valley hollowed out by the Cessière, a small river. The vines are located around the estate within a radius of 3 kilometers. Most of the vines are found on the Cazelles plateau, a limestone outcropping facing south at an altitude of 200 meters, perfect for making wines with finesse and character.
Food Pairing Notes
The fruit forward nature of this lightly oaked but fresh wine makes it the perfect pairing for white meat, mushrooms, grilled fish, and cheese.
