Pure Grenache Blanc, this refined, organic white was born of old vines enriched by oyster fossilizations. The winemaker chose not to blend this delicate grape variety, ensuring the full expression of finesse and minerality. The rich complexity holds notes of honey and fresh flowers, finishing with a touch of fine oak. La Diva Blanche imparts a lovely mouth coating without being heavy and is often compared to a fine White Burgundy because of its subtlety and elegance.

An inviting addition to pan-roasted salmon with smoked almond, cherry, orange, and rosemary butter. For an unforgettable meal, pair with pork stuffed with prunes, garlic, and sage. Serve as a lovely companion to pan-fried sea bass and chive sabayon sauce.

Wine Profile
Vineyard Notes
Terre Des Dames has been certified organic (Ecocert) for over ten years. The structure of the vineyard is unchanged from 200 years ago. The 25 small plots (totalling 14 hectares) are on different levels, surrounded by low walls and diverse garrigue. No pesticides or artificial fertilizers are used. Most of the year, natural grass growth between the rows supports the life of the soil. The microclimate of the area, along with the underground springs and rivers, imparts freshness to the vine roots. As well, the roots are nourished and protected by large barriers of trees and shrubs between the plots. Maintaining this biodiversity protects against disease. The soil is clay, limestone and flint and rich with marine fossils. Underground streams counter the arid environment, flowing beneath the estate and irrigating the vines.
Production Notes
The grapes are harvested and sorted by hand. 100% of aging takes place in 600 liter barrels of the finest French oak. Light toasting imparts additional subtle complexity without excess wood (50% new wood). Fermentation is followed by batonnage (stirring) of the lees.
Winemaker Notes
Lidewij Van Wilgen left a high-powered career in advertising to pursue her dream of creating luscious, beautiful, organic wines. After visits to Bordeaux and the Northern Rhône, she became intrigued by what people were calling the “new world” of wine in France – the Languedoc. She found a beautiful farm house in a small valley with perfect terroir and Terre Des Dames was born. Since then, Lidewij has become one of the women leading the Languedoc winemaking renaissance. Her wines have received awards from Decanter and Wine Spectator and glowing reviews from British wine maven Jancis Robinson.
