Sommelier note: Olivier and his adorable wife Fabienne have found themselves standing on gilded terroir. Everything they touch turns to liquid gold. Rose gold that is. The named of this wine means: “Shame on you for evil thoughts ” Perhaps Olivier was thinking of reactions to the unknown and forgotten Braquet grape? You won’t have one bad thought after you taste this beautiful rosé which happens to waft soft breezes of strawberries and roses into your day. We were lucky to get some of this small production of only 600 bottles. Hand harvested grapes are taken directly to the gentle press and maintained at cool temperatures to retain the beautiful natural flavors. You will forever thank Olivier and Fabienne for their positive thoughts when planting a small parcel of Brachet grapes in Saint Chinian. This rosé is made to drink with food, not just sipping. It has finesse and will surprise your guests when served with appetizers such as tapenade, smoked anchovies, and grilled fish with ratatouille.
