Winemaker Notes
As the name proudly states this is the domaine of the schiste soil, one of the most highly prized soils for grape growing in the world. Domaine des Schistes was founded in 1989 in the early days of the winemaking renaissance in the Languedoc-Roussillon. The vineyards lie in a small valley in the foothills of the magnificent Corbières Mountains. All of the vineyards in the valley are organically farmed so you can’t find purer fruit anywhere.
