70% Grenache Blanc, 15% Carignan Blanc, 15% Roussanne
L'Égrisee brings refinement and delicious freshness without excessive exuberance, a touch of class that perhaps explains the meaning of its name, “diamond dust.” This all-occasion white is balanced yet lively with aromas of white fruit, flowers, fennel, and almond.
AOC Coteaux du Languedoc Terrasses du Larzac
75% Grenache Noir, 25% Syrah
Food Pairing: Serve with Beef Cheek Stew (Daube) with Prunes and Orange
Syrah, Mourvèdre, Old Grenache Noir
Syrah, Mourvèdre and Old Grenache Noir blend together to create an intense, decadent nose of black pepper and licorice mingled with cassis and blueberry in this organic, biodynamic red. In the mouth, rich complexity flows into a long, smooth finish. The Mourvèdre imparts tobacco, cedar wood and a pleasing tannic structure. Les Crès was praised by wine critic Andrew Jefford.
Vin de France
100% Carignan Gris
Domaine Jones produced only 800 bottles of this rare Carignan Gris beauty. The lush aroma of fresh pear complements the smoky, herbal edge and lively palette. Winemaker Katie Jones is one of the women leading the Languedoc wine-making renaissance. She creates her distinctive wines from old vineyards and rare grape varieties.
Grenache, Syrah, Old Carignan
Food pairing: Luscious like a ruby red cashmere scarf .......settle in with someone you love to talk to about the stars and drink this with Daube Languedocienne (Rich Red Wine Beef Stew); or Slow Cooked Osso Buco with Prunes, Oranges and Leeks. Out of this world!
Vin de France
This lively biodynamic wine is made from hand harvested white Roussanne grapes but vinified like a red wine-with five days of juice and skin contact. The result is a delicious and complex orange wine with mimosa, saffron, stone and yuzu flavors. It changes beautifully as it breathes and opens up. It is heavenly with Curried Chicken Salad!
IGP Pays d’Oc
A crisp white wine with a luminous sparkle, this Vermentino bathes the palate in pears and melon with surprising hints of jasmine and grapefruit. The smooth mineral finish enlivens and refreshes. Crafted by a family domaine of passionate winemakers, this wine is a pure varietal expression of terroir.
70% Chardonnay, 30% Chenin Blanc
This Chardonnay-dominant white delights gourmets and casual sippers alike. Brioche and ripe pear aromas drift into an opulent finish. The Terra Vitis certified vineyards are maintained using responsible viticulture. “La Coume Lumet” is an Occitan word meaning “Valley of Light.”
IGP Cotes Catalanes
100% Grey Grenache
Food Pairings: Indulge with sole in lemon butter sauce, chicken milanese and pork glazed with honey and orange marmalade!
Vin de Pays Coteaux de Murviel
60% Syrah (40 year old vines) 40% Grenache (70 year old vines)
A pure and precise wine, this luscious blend of Syrah and Grenache offers rich notes of fruit, a hint of the garrigue and striking balance from the finest French oak barrels. The Grenache is from the oldest parcels on this fine micro-climate domaine. Terre des Dames has been certified organic for over ten years and is run by one of the brilliant women winemakers leading the Languedoc winemaking renaissance.
A.O.P. Saint-Chinian Roquebrun
Syrah, Mourvèdre, Carignan, Grenache Noir
The generous nose on this organic red delights with strawberry, cassis and lovely hints of oak. The luxurious mouthfeel is soft, rich and fruity, evolving into grippy tannins. The finale can only be described as GRAND with a second wave of fruit, firm tannins and a smoky aftertaste touched with chocolate.
50% Mourvèdre, 30% Carignan, 20% Grenache
Food Pairing: In order to reveal the full potential of this wine with a strong antioxidant Mourvèdre slowly emerging, it is best to wait 4 to 5 years for it to reach maturity and thus open its aromatic palette, or it is imperative to decant it 5 to 7 hours before eating it. This will reveal the very strong character of this wine both on the very ripe black fruits but also and especially on the notes of roasting, cocoa or cinnamon.
