Tanya has been working in the wine industry; in restaurants, retail, and education for more than two decades. She has been teaching about wine since 2004. Her love of classical wines, passion for history, nature, and gastronomy inspires her educational approach.
Tanya is a faculty member at the Northwest Wine Academy (South Seattle College, Wine Technology Division), and also Napa Valley Wine Academy (America's premier wine school), where she has created the most comprehensive Wine History course available online. Tanya has also been teaching WSET coursework since 2012, she is an approved instructor for all levels L1- L4/Diploma. Her company, Cellar Muse, is the only Approved Program Provider for the Wine Scholar Guild Certification courses in Washington State, where she teaches all certification programs: French, Italian, and Spanish Wine Scholar.
