A Peak Experience
In the wild and unspoiled Languedoc-Roussillon region, our founders search for artisanal, independent winemakers, and in the search they often cross the mountain ranges of this region where some of the most sought after wines are made from cool weather vineyards. The Pyrenees, the Massif Central and the Cévennes mountain foothills are all in the Languedoc-Roussillon region.
Bring on the summer with three mountain wines that have sumptuous aromas and freshness in the mouth that will delight your palate! Both the 2017 Elevée Sur Lies Fines Chardonnay and the 2018 La Maitresse Merlot organic grape blend come from vineyards along the Spanish-French border in the foothills of the Pyrenees Mountains. At the southern edge of the Massif Central in south-central France, at the base of the UNESCO World Heritage site of the Cévennes Mountain Ranges, lie the vineyards of the Domaine de L’Hortus where they grow their organic grapes for the crowd favorite 2019 Bergerie de L'Hortus Rosé Grenache, Syrah and Mourvédre blend. Three fine wines for June into the summer!
