This is a traditional Languedoc blend of Grenache, Syrah, Carignan and Mourvèdre. The stars surely aligned in the resulting bright and spicy, cooked-berry blend, with a silky tannin feel as the weight of it slides across your mouth and cheeks to a gorgeous finish with some woody and mild tanned-leather tones. Serve this slightly chilled 60-65⁰F.
This rich cooked-fruit, but fresh wine is wonderful with Sevilla Style Duck with Olives and Honey; Braised Lamb with Zuccchini, Eggplant, Thyme and Rosemary; and Grilled Rib Eye Steak with Shallot Butter.
