This organic, medium-bodied red boasts sultry aromas of black fruit, smoky spices and herbs that enhance an opulent palate of complex fruitiness, Asian spices and Sichuan pepper. Winemaker Christine Mouton Bertoli’s blend of Syrah and Cabernet Franc imparts a beautiful, clear ruby color.
This wine pairs beautifully with barbeque ribs or an elegant duck pâté.

Vineyard Notes
The vineyards are cultivated in soils of basalt, clay and limestone.
Production Notes
Grapes are hand-harvested then destemmed. Low-temperature fermentation and gentle pumping (remontage) preserves the fresh fruit and phenolic aromas. 70% of the wine is aged in small concrete vats while the rest ages in French oak barrels.
Winemaker Notes
Christine Mouton Bertoli and her husband, Stéphane, have built a first-class winemaking facility to support their mission to make quality, fine wines. We declare “mission accomplished!”
The vineyards and winemaking cave are near the famous antique market town of Pézenas. The domaine includes 37 acres of organically farmed grapes and olive trees.
