This classic Château was born in 1632 in the wine area around Montpellier called “Grès de Montpellier”. The Château offers generous wines with subtle finesse. Another female winemaker here! Diane Losfelt is the technical director and for more than 30 years has been in charge of the vinification. You can find Diane many times in the vineyard because ‘Good wine is made in the vineyard, not in the cellar’ she says. This wonderful rosé is a blend of two grapes from special soils. Both grapes are picked at the same time and end up together in the tank where, after a couple of hours of skin contact, the juice is drained off for fermentation. This method is called ‘Saignée’ like bleeding of the wine. This gives a subtle light color to the wine and lovely fruity aromas from the varietals. Grenache Noir is soft and round fruit, Cinsault tastes ripe and juicy, perfect together in this fine rosé! Drink this rosé as an aperitif or with light food, nibbles all weekend and any time of year on your terrace. Of course, in or near the swimming pool, be sure you have a second bottle or more ‘cause the first bottle will be empty in no-time!
