Syrah and Grenache give birth to this dashing rosé which enjoys great success year after year. On the nose, very nice aromas of fresh fruit, raspberry aromas.  On the palate, it is tense and fresh with a nice balance. The finish is saline, almost salty.

This is the rosé that will happily accompany your spring grills and your beautiful spring and summer evenings as an aperitif, or with salmon rolls, shrimp of any kind, grilled fish, or Pad Thai.

Wine Profile
Vineyard Notes
Located in the village of Caux to the north of the medieval town of Pezenas, the Allegria vineyards lie on the slopes of an ancient volcano on the hills of the Haut Languedoc. This cuvée is made entirely of organic Grenache noir and Syrah grapes planted in an ancient lagoon of oyster fossils on the slopes of the extinct Baumes volcano, formed 3.5 million years ago from an old riverbed of the Herault. It is a very deep, high-quality terroir with excellent adaptation to drought.
Production Notes
This rosé was vinified using the direct pressing technique: the bunches of grapes are harvested without waiting for too much maturity and pressed directly in a pneumatic press. The lees are kept from settling. These lees are very aromatic and a refrigerated container is rented for 3 weeks. This allows the winemaker, through the action of the cold at 4°C, to separate in a few days the thickest lees from the very aromatic and very rich juice that is reintegrated into the fermenting must. This reintegration of the juice from the lees brings more aromatic richness to Dolce Farniente. Dolce Farniente spends 6 months in stainless steel tanks.
Winemaker Notes
Created in 2008, Allegria is the result of a Franco-Argentinian friendship between the French Aboville family and the Argentinian Mota family of winemakers: on the one hand the passion and enthusiasm of a young family raising five children; on the other, one of Argentina's greatest oenologists, Roberto de la Mota, creator of Cheval des Andes and Bodega Mendel, recognized by all fans of Malbec.
Food Pairing Notes
This is the rosé that will happily accompany your spring grills and your beautiful spring and summer evenings as an aperitif, or with salmon rolls, shrimp of any kind, grilled fish, or Pad Thai.
